Since season 2020 Max starts for the club Union Kanu-Club Suedalpen (UKC) based in the Gailtal Valley (actual club address A-9611 Noetsch im Gailtal, Carinthia). This club is member in the associations Sportunion Carinthia, Carinthian Canoe Association und Austrian Canoe Association .
His residence since birth was in Austria but he started 2017 unti 2019 for the German Bavarian club Augsburger Kajak-Verein. This was caused because his mother and UKC-trainer Janet Steinbrenner starts for the Ausgburg club until now. Max himself is through his birth in Villach integrated in Carinthia very well and want to start for an carinthian club.
